One Day Workshop

In this fun workshop you will explore and create.
In this workshop participants will create one or two small sculptural or relief assemblage works using teasels (Dipsacus sativus) a natural Velcro as a starting point. Coloured threads will be used to wind, bind and attach found objects and textile paraphernalia to create layers for a relief assemblage. There are no limits; your imaginations can run wild.
This workshop is suited to all levels. No experience is necessary.
What to bring
Small found objects, they do not have to be of any significance, just things you find interesting.
Small things that could be used for bases.
Textile paraphernalia e.g empty wooden or plastic cotton reels.
If you want to use any special cotton thread – please bring along. The Gallery will supply thread of varying thicknesses.
If you have any special very small patches of material which you would like to use please bring along. The Gallery will also supply material patches.
An assortment of needles – long ones are good.
All other materials will be supplied.
