5 – 27 March | In Gallery2
This exhibition of drawings, paintings and photographs by local artist Jo Briscomb and photographer Stephen Henderson is a personal interpretation of life in Timor Leste. The works provide a visual account of the country, its history and its people, and explore a range of imagery and perceptions. The black and white photographs capture everyday life in a quiet and intimate style; whist the paintings and drawings record activities in a way that the camera and the written word cannot.
A Creative Journey celebrates the optimism and hope for the future of the people of Timor Leste who have experienced generations of war and conflict. The exhibition highlights the strength of the friendship between the Rural City of Wangaratta and the people of Lacluta District, Timor Leste.
