The very popular NGV Kids on Tour program will again take place during the summer school holidays at the Wangaratta Art Gallery. This year NGV Kids on Tour theme is ART FOR EVERYONE. This is a wonderful opportunity for children and their families in regional areas to engage with art and design from the NGV.
Due to COVID-19 we are navigating different safety restrictions and as a result can only have 20 people in each workshop (this includes adults)
There are different activities on each day.
Day 1 – Tuesday 12 – focusing on activities created by Melbourne artist Kenny Pittock who uses a playful approach and wordplay in creating artworks.
Day 2 – Wednesday 13 – focusing on creating drawings inspired by The Hermannsburg Potters who are a group of Arrernte artists from the Northern Territory; and, look at AFL indigenous culture and storytelling through their ceramic artworks.
Day 3 – Thursday 14 – focusing on fun activities best described as “How Surreal!”. Inspiration will come from games inspired by surrealist artists such as Salvador Dali.
